Sark Property Company

Sark Property Company Ltd was set up in 2023 by Christopher Beaumont, 23rd Seigneur of Sark, and Swen Lorenz of Sarnia Asset Management. The object, as they told the Chamber of Commerce that May and as BBC Guernsey later reported, was a cash purchase of the Barclay estate — roughly a fifth of the island: some eighty dwellings, four or five hotels, about twenty commercial premises, land and development plots. Brecqhou was not in the parcel. A prospectus went to the Guernsey Financial Services Commission in autumn 2024. More than a hundred backers pledged. The offer, put at £20 million after Savills Guernsey advice, was declined. Kevin Delaney of Sark Developments called it a fraction of value. The board said it would wind activities down, keep the legal shell, and might look again in 2026 only on stated conditions. This desk files the public record. It does not list a cottage, take a deposit, or invite subscription.
